HELP FUND THE PURCHASE OF PATIENT'S BEDS FOR CROSSROADS HOSPICE
DID YOU KNOW:
Crossroads Hospice Society opened its doors in 1988 and since that time has provided compassionate care to those affected by the end-of-life experience. Funds raised from the G&F Financial Group 2017 Charity Golf Tournament will go towards the purchase of alarmed medical beds which provide improved patient safety and better patient care.
Recognizing that every life is precious, Crossroads Hospice is focused on ensuring that every person in their care enjoys the best possible quality of life, right up until the end. Crossroads Hospice believes the end of life can be a rich and rewarding experience in an atmosphere of love and compassion whether it be at home, in the hospital, or in hospice.
The Society cares for adults aged 19 and over who are affected by terminal and life-limiting illnesses. Hospice care is a patient and family-centered approach that includes an interdisciplinary hospice team of doctors, nurses, social workers, spiritual workers, trained volunteers and society staff. They work together focusing on the patient's needs whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. The goal is to help keep the patient as pain-free as possible, with loved ones nearby.
Crossroads Hospice also helps and supports those who have lost a loved one regardless of cause of death with complimentary bereavement and loss group support services including walking groups, teen support groups and an annual Celebration of Life event for all residents in the communities that the Society serves.
Crossroads Hospice is a registered Canadian charity with a heavy reliance on donors, big and small, to help people who are facing a life-limiting illness receive compassionate, "comfort care" with dignity and autonomy.
